Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Intensive English Language Institute at the University of North Texas seeks qualified individuals to serve as ESL Instructors. The assignment will be at our partner university in Japan from March 15 to December 31, 2018. A round-trip ticket and furnished housing are provided by the partner university. The specific courses involved may vary depending on department teaching needs.
The anticipated need is to teach 15-18 contact hours teaching advanced content-based ESL courses to Japanese undergraduate students and TOEFL preparation classes. The assignment may include curriculum development, participation on committees, student activities, faculty and staff meetings, administrative work before, during, and at the end of the semester, and other activities to support the program.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in TESOL or closely related field; will consider master's degree with CELTA or TESOL teaching certificate
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching ESL
Demonstrated experience teaching advanced ESL courses to students
Cross-cultural understanding
Effective team member
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful experience teaching TOEFL preparation classes
Successful experience using technology in class
Successful experience adapting classroom content to better serve students' needs
