Call for Abstracts
The 16th DFW Linguistics Metroplex Conference will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, on
the UNT Campus. Abstracts for presentations and posters are due Tuesday, Oct 1st.
Here are the guidelines for paper and poster abstract submissions.
Paper Presentations:
- Each school will be allotted 2 selected presentations of 30 minutes in length.
- Presenters should plan for 20 minutes of presentation and 10 minutes of Q & A.
- Presentations may be on any aspect of linguistics.
- Please vet all abstracts from your institutions and then email the two abstracts you
selected to Konstantia.Kapetangianni@unt.edu by Tuesday, October 1st.
- Please include a brief presenter bio with each abstract.
Abstracts:
- Should contain Title, Name, Affiliation, and Contact Email, in that order.
- Include max 250 words
- Should fit on one page, 12pt Times New Roman (other fonts are admissible for IPA symbols,
other alphabets, etc.)
- References are admissible but not required
- Presenter Bio and examples maybe provided in a second page.
Poster Presentations
- Each school may submit any number of poster presentations from both undergraduate
and graduate students.
- Presentations may be on any aspect of linguistics.
- Please include a brief presenter bio with each abstract.
Poster sizes: maximum 48 width x 36 length
