UNT graduate Kathleen Cuyler’s dream to be a published author has come true! This year, she published Forever Is Eternity the first book in a new Young Adult Fantasy series, The Blackwick Series. While at UNT, Kathy pursued coursework in linguistics for both her bachelor’s and her master’s degree and found a welcoming and encouraging community in the Linguistics Department. She enjoyed the get-togethers where professors and students would socialize and discuss linguistics, life, and love for the arts. Currently, Kathy teaches English at Coastal Bend College in Beeville, TX. During the Covid pandemic, Kathy turned to her passion for writing to relieve anxiety. With some encouragement from her students who found fantasy an escape from their own stress, Kathy determined to finish her book. Now her dream has come true! Forever Is Eternity is available through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Books-a-Million. The Blackwick Series follows Beatrice Talbin who discovers that her love of reading is a gift that gains her admittance to the Society of the Inter-Story Intercessors. Traveling into the books that she loves, she and her fellow intercessors are caught up in a war between the Golden Dragon, Vorever, and his ancient nemesis Ordog, the Crimson Dragon Lord.
